A Message Falling From The Sky

Walking down the long packed streets downtown. It seemed like any other day. The sun was out, the clouds were puffy and people everywhere enjoying their time outside.

Hopping my way along the sidewalks, and feeling the great breeze run against me. Thinking about life... about now, about before and about what's to come. Little did I know what was about to land within my arms would change me.

Walking slowly down a street hearing screams from above me. Slowly looking up and see a huge body fall into my arms hard, knocking me part down. Falling to my knees not knowing what to do, what to say, I stood shocked and locked in that position.

By the long black and blonde streaked hair covering her face, I could tell it was a girl. Slowly moving her bangs away to reveal her face, I could see blood coming out of her mouth. Frighted and wondering what was wrong with her, I had the courage to ask.

As she talked more blood came out of her mouth. She said.."Tell....tell him I will always love him. Can...can you do that for for me please..."

I lay there motionless and still absorbing all that's happened. Some people walking by us, while others started to create a huge crowd around us.

She shook for a minute and squeezed my hand very tightly, and within another second stopped. Her stillness eyes stared into mines... but I couldn' t feel anything.. see anything within her eyes. It was empty and she had passed away right in my arm.

2 minutes later the ambulance sires could be heard and they came with their equipment to aid her. It was too late now. They packed her body away, as I stared at her face till the zipped bag ran across her face enclosing it within the body bag.

One question remained... who was this guy she loved so much? Why was she bleeding from her mouth? Why did she fall from her apartment above. Why me?

All these questions still linger... Some will be answered shortly.. and others I will have to dig up for myself.

Her very words still haunt me....
