I think with the bad times now, the chance and risk is fairly high. We've seen 9/11 and 7/11 and an attack in Mumbai, so what's next?

this i can say with some confidence. its specualtion. its like saying that in the next 5 years china will have another outbreak or iran will have a trenoble insident with thier uranium enrichment. well the china thing may be more likley of the two. but i putting my doubts heavily on it.

all that can be considred is a distraction from the economy.. thats all it is.

I dont think its very likely to happen either.
There are probably gonna be more attacks than the one in Mumbay etc. but a bio nuke weapon? Nah not within the next 5 years at least.

That's the problem these days.

We always think and "assume" something won't happen.

Look at how many people became all cocky and said "no one will touch USA, were strong and everyone is scared of us"

Look at what happened to USA.

Anyone can get access to bio weapons. You have a virus and spread it in the water centre. Now the water we drink is contaminated.

LOL, there are TONS of ways we can get screwed. We just assume everything will be okay.

WHen you have people, who WANT to kill you, they will do what ever it takes.

any country can have a bio nuke attack.. i doubt the U.S. is that vulnerable. security sicne 9/11 is so high any more.. i realisticly don't see it happening. if they woudl where would they..all major cities and factories have armed security.

teh nuclear power plant about an hour from myhouse actually has anti air guns on teh four corners of the property. the bettis factory about 5 minutes form my house has armed guards on duty at all times. you approach the gate for any reason you have a laser sight on you. i know this, i went there to apply for the draftsman job.

Honestly, it's almost an impossibility. Especially with a new president, soon the USA, while it won't be liked, it won't be hated by most of the world anymore. Korea is the only people likely to nuke anyone right now, and that's just cause Kim Jong Il is crazy as a schitzophrenic on crack.

This was on the news. Obama's own team is saying this.... Hence, why they want to prepare for it now. eg. create a defense system.

The truth is.. you NEVER know, when you'll be hit and where. Yeah security is up and good, but anyone and anywhere could be hit. The USA is mor likely, as it's where terrorists seem to target or want to target.

I'm just saying this from the news on tv. This is what they are "speculating" to happen within the next 5 years.

I hate to say it, but it's much harder to defend yourself, when you don't know how/when/where someone will hit you.

It's like getting a threat letter in the mail and then guarding yourself. The truth is you won't know when/where/how you'll get hit up. You can get security, bullet proof vests etc... etc.. Still.. your "expecting" something, which you cannot for see or know about ahead of time. It's a lot harder to prepare for something that's going to take place at a random time.

every country gets threats. hell obama has been getting personal threats since he became senator.and to say it may happen. hell anything may happen.

for something like this to happen. some one in the cia and obama administration would have to drop a major ball and i personally don't see that happening.

seddy is right, every country gets threats. Our does all the time just like any other country, we just have to know which ones to believe and which one's not to believe. Some of them are fake... well most of them are. But a few select ones are actually true plots against our country. Pearl harbor, the first WTC attack, 9/1, Oklahoma city bombing. It does happen occasionally, and that being said we should take every threat as serious as possible, but we can't expect everyone to really act on what they say. When it comes down to it, you just have to put on a good poker face and hope they don't do something you don't expect.
