Is anyone here familliar with the game genre Curtain Shooters? Also known as Manic Shooters and Bullet Hell Shooters I believe, they're games similar to Galaga/Galactica(top-down vertical scrolling shooter games). Except in Curtain Shooters, at any given moment the entire screen can be covered in enemy " bullets "(plasma fire, etc), leaving you in a maze of fast-moving orbs of deadly energy(in some games, you have a shield, but it has to recharge every time you use it). It's a blast to navigate the fields of energy bullets, at the same time taking down enemies around you to get powerups and bonuses. To give you a visual demonstration(just in case I didn't word it well enough :}), here's a video at youtube of one of my favorite curtain shooters.
