I think that people are gullible. First, it would have to be 6/6/6 not 6/6/06. The 0 interrupts the sequence of numbers. Second, I think people take the number too literally. Just because the number is there, doesn't mean it's always bad. It's like saying every sixth second of every sixth minute of each sixth hour is evil's second. It gets more rediculous as time goes on. Third, the number itself has been overhyped by the media and hollywood into being something more than it actually is. Not to say that it can't be eventually bad, but what the number is said to become is not the date of the end of the world or some other crap. It's meant to be the number of the anti-christ that will be used as an identification prefix of some sort. That is, if it even happens. I wouldn't even bother worrying about the world ending on June 6th, it's most likely just some prank that someone started most likely by spam mail, and some gullible dumbass believed it and forwarded it to all their friends, just like alot of other things that were supposed to happen that never did. Y2K bug anyone?????????

Next, 666 refers to, not the Anti-Christ, but to the beast created by man's evil. It is known as the day of redemption. And I agree people are blowing this way out of proportion. It's just another day, but if you want to take the day off from work, be my guest. You just have to remember that back in 1906, there was a day with the label 06/06/06 and they were just fine. Oh and Razielis's refrence to the Y2k bug isn't the same as this. The Y2k bug was supposed to end the world by ending all computer functions. Since the world is run by computers, that would have been a bad thing.
It's in the Bible Yevon. 666 is the creature that feeds off man's sins. Many also refer to Satan as 666. 666 is supposed to only arrive on the day of redemption, which is when the world ends.
Nah I dont believe that the world will end on January 6th, 2006...because it's a thought put into our minds because of the whole 666 number. I dont think it'll happen, but I'm still gonna be weary just for the heck of it..
actually I watched something today on discovery channel when I was eating lunch and found out there is a VERY VERY!! high chance many of us will die in 2011, as a solar storm will hit the earth from the sun.... and the problem is there is no way to stop it..... or at this point there is no way meaning once it hits the earth will not have electricity anymore for a few yrs......

no really I was watching it and thought wtf... they showed what happent to NYC and skytrains crashing into each other, planes crashing...
what happens is the solar storm destroys all electromagnetic fields.... soo all radar, gadgest anything that is electrical in someway will cease to function.... power plants will blow up even if everything is off, hospitals will last only a few days then the backup genorators will die
Water wont be fresh cuz the place it is filtered won't work cuz we have no power.... they said it's gonna be worldwide... I am scared, but if I go to the jungle and live cave man style LOL I will live... theres food, water, no electrical things that will burst or blow up...
They said it will happen around 2011... in a way it's good in 2010 the olympics are here... after that im gonna head for the woods.... id take a radio but then who knows if it causes radiation or a fire......
all I can say is.... if it happens and they said it WILL happen sooner opr later.... cause the sun will give off a solar storm soon...., people are gonna be screwed.... think about it no electricty...no PC's... no internet... no t.v no nothing..... at night it will be pitch dark... cause we have no light... expect for fires and candles

*smacks head* My god...you people are gullable, your worrying about things that probably wont happen for another hundred to thousand years. Just like they said that the moon was getting farther and farther away, when that happens the cold areas will become warm and the warm areas will become cold. Also, this guy wrote all the Popes for the Catholic churches name from Peter all the way to the last one *plays Dramatic music* Benedict!! So when he dies the world ends. People have been making up superstitions for hundreds of years and none of them have actually fully happened.

lol what I said above isn't gonna happen in 100's of years... look at the sun's rays... why do people have to wear more sunscreen and stay out of the sun... cause each year the sun gets through the earths atmosphere easily... thats why they say around 2011 because by then the sun's rays will easily reach earth..... Here's something weird for you guy's, I was flipping channel's and there was a documentary of hitler's like and how he became in power, it said Hitlers life was ****, until a psychih came to him and told him to go to the graveyard and dig up a body, after that Hitler always had bad luck, but when hitler lost the body he dug from the grave then he would have bad luck again ( which is why WWII was won by US ) after hitler died, they were talking about the year 2006 or something like that, and they said A man named MASUR would create another war and possible end the world, kinda scared the hell out of me lol.

I have a feeling it will be like russia,china, france, etc... all joined against USA and since Canada and UK are sort of allied with the states... we prolly have no choice but the join USA in the battle.. although I wouldn't... I'd jus stay back.... No one wants to fight freaking china, russia, korea, and all them allied togethor..... they prolly all got enough nukes and crap = to states....
